Isaac and Chris sit down with Jon Milton from the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives to discuss the famous quote "Socialism or Barbarism" and why there isn't a third option.
Socialism seems to be the only future that can be considered for a society that wants to be enlightened and humanist. The only other option is a continued slow descent into a darker place: fascism, or worse. Jon presents a level-headed, practical response to many questions or criticisms about socialism, and presents a good argument for why the alternatives can only lead to a darker place.

Clare Blackwood and Isaac sit down to discuss Satire, how groups like the beaverton work, and how things can be improved in the country. Maybe laughter can save our souls and bring us to a more accepting place! Maybe we can take ourselves less seriously and have a good laugh at our own expense! Maybe punching down at minorities is bad comedy! Find out what Comedy writer Clare Blackwood thinks of all this, and more!

Join Isaac and Frédéric Bérard as they talk about recent federal politics polling in Quebec, the future of the Bloc Québécois in the province, and whether or not the Conservatives -- and the Parti Québécois, provincially -- could sweep the region.
Is Quebec progressive? Is it conservative? What is the future of the nation, within or without Canada? Fred gives a frank and brutal assessment of the province, and the future.

Sergio is the owner of Turbo Haüs, a famous underground venue on St. Denis Street in Montreal's Quartier des Spectacles. Isaac asks him whether or not Montreal's nightlife scene is dying, and Sergio gives some of the funniest answers of all time. Guess what -- it turns out older generations are out of touch with younger generations! Also, are the scenes in danger because of the Quebec government's ineptitude? All of this is discussed here!

Let's have a tough discussion. The Federal government has not had the best track record when it comes to Palestine. Isaac and Chris sit down with our federal Immigration Minister, Marc Miller, to discuss what the problems have been and how they could be fixed.
Following a fairly intense conversation around the Israel Defense Forces, Gaza, and Canada's role in the conflict, they discuss immigration and economics. How much has immigration contributed to rising prices? How have we dealt with immigration as a nation? How do asylum seekers get here? Maybe Marc answers in a way that will satisfy you. Maybe he doesn't. Either way, this conversation is bound to interest you greatly.

In this episode, Benjamin Peltz joins Isaac to discuss why and how the far-right and Christian evangelicals became the same group of people. Isaac wanted to ask someone who is themselves an evangelical, so they invited Doctor of Ministry, Pastor Benjamin Peltz (Isaac's brother) on the show to talk about the radicalization of the Christian world in the past decade.

Always burning at the centre of Isaac's mind is the question: Is mainstream media good or bad? Well, instead of wondering about it, Isaac invited Steve Faguy, a journalist who works for the Montreal Gazette, to discuss the good and bad of mainstream journalism and the current state of the industry. Is the necessity to be a profitable company ruining good journalism? Well, let's ask Steve.

This week on The Midnight Choir, Isaac sits down with Philippe J Fournier, the editor in chief of 338 Canada and QC125 to discuss polling, its efficacy and the scientific approach polling brings to the election. Philippe explains how polling works, what he does as a poll analyst, and how you and I can truly understand the state of the world through the science of statistics.
